Atlantis Pattern

The Atlantis Pattern is a fictional symbol used in the art of many human cultures in the Transformers: Cybertron (called Transformers: Galaxy Force in Japan) cartoon series. It is based on a pattern visible on an ancient Cybertronian starship that came to Earth in order to establish a colony many thousands of years ago. This ship floated in the air, but eventually crashed and sank into the ocean, becoming the inspiration for the human legend of the lost city of Atlantis.

The pattern itself is a representation of the Omega Lock, a device sought by the Autobots that they believe can help them stop the black hole threatening to consume Cybertron and the entire universe. This device was known to be located aboard the Atlantis starship. When Vector Prime saw the pattern on a rock band t-shirt worn by Lori, he realized that the Omega Lock might be located on Earth.

The Autobots and their human allies searched for occurrences of the Pattern in the hopes of finding the Omega Lock, but due to its prevalence in cultures throughout the world, they encountered many false trails before meeting with success.

The Decepticon Thundercracker once used a spotlight to project the Atlantis Pattern into the sky, in order to lure the Autobots into a trap.

The Atlantis Pattern is also referred to as the "Pattern of Atlantis" and the "Seal of Atlantis."
