Ashley Toye

Ashley Toye was convicted of the first-degree murders of Jeffrey Sosa, aged 14, and his uncle Alexis Sosa, aged 18, both from Cape Coral, Florida. She was convicted alongside seven others, who were also involved in the murder. Authorities described the group as "members of a self-styled gang known as the 'Cash Feenz.'" A jury also convicted Toye of kidnapping, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and found that she had tampered with evidence. She was sentenced to two life sentences for the murders, and another 90 years for the other charges.
The bodies of Jeffrey and Alexis Sosa were found in an industrial park after being tortured and burned the night after they had attended Toye's boyfriend's birthday party. Toye carved an asterisk into the back of one of the two victims and used their shoelaces to tie them up. The brother of Alexis Sosa, Michael Sosa, told reporters that Toye "deserved what she got ... now she feels how it feels to murder somebody and to take somebody's life away. We're not bringing our family members back, but at least were getting justice."
