Asher Gould (born 3 June 1971 in Birmingham, England), or "Ash" as he is known to listeners, is a producer and presenter for talkSPORT in the UK. He grew up in Handsworth, Birmingham and is a keen Aston Villa supporter. Ash works on the 10pm - 1am night time show (Sunday - Thursday) alongside Ian Collins but is most famous for his work on the James Whale Radio Show. Ash formed a popular double-act with Whale and was regularly 'berated' on air (mostly in fun) because of his laid back approach and his tendency to sneak off for a sly cigarette on the Talksport veranda during the show. Ash also worked with Tommy Boyd on The Human Zoo which was broadcast on a Sunday night until 2002. Ash's off-the-cuff one-liners made him very popular with listeners to the show. |
