Asfandyar Abid Naveed

Asfandyar Abid Naveed (Asfandyar Khan, 1976- 11 June 2011) was a career journalist with the newspaper Akhbar-e-Khyber.

Asfandyar Abid Naveed died while covering a suicide explosion used to draw media coverage for increased fatality due to a second larger suicide blast.
The Peshawar bombings in the Khyber Super Market on 11 June 2011 resulted in the death of two journalists and the injury of five more. Asfandyar Abid Naveed died instantly as a result of the second of two suicide bomb explosions. Naveed is the fifth journalist reported killed in Pakistan in 2011 in relation to his work.
