Arvin Joaquin is a Filipino-Canadian journalist and editor. He is currently a video journalist and host with OMNI News: Filipino Edition on OMNI Television. He previously served as an associate editor at Xtra Magazine and the writer of the Digital Publishing Award-winning newsletter, Xtra Weekly. His work has appeared in The Huffington Post, Global News, CTV News, CityNews, CBC, and more. His journalism has been honoured by the National Magazine Awards, Digital Publishing Awards, and the Canadian Online Publishing Awards. Early Life and education Arvin Joaquin was born in the Philippines and moved to Canada as a teen. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours with Distinction) in Communication and Sociology from Simon Fraser University and a Master of Journalism from Carleton University. |
