Artist Charles Brown was born in Newport Kentucky in 1960. After a humble but creative middleclass upbringing he graduated high school and started painting local streetscapes of his hometown in 1979. By 1983 he had his first corporate sales and gallery exhibitions featuring his work done in many diverse styles including surrealism,expressionism,and realism. He won many awards for his work over the next 10 years and was selling all over the United States by 1993;and in 1998 became totally self suffient with his artwork, gaining a loyal following with many prominent patrons.He owned his own gallery in Cincinnati Ohio from 2000-2001,and today he is largely recognized for his Home,people,and pet portraits, but also continues to sell from his ecclectic 25 year inventory of works- literally offering something for every artistic taste!!!
