Arthur Baert (1910 - unknown) was a Belgian chess player, Belgian Chess Championships medalist (1945). Biography From the mid-1930s to end of 1940s Arthur Baert was one of Belgium's leading chess players. He was a multiple participant of the Belgian Chess Championship. In 1935, in Antwerp Arthur Baert ranked 4th in this tournament, but in 1945 in Ostend he won bronze medal in Belgian Chess Championship. In 1937, in 2nd international chess tournament in Ostend Arthur Baert ranked 2nd in reserve tournament. Arthur Baert played for Belgium in the Chess Olympiad: * In 1937, at third board in the 7th Chess Olympiad in Stockholm (+0, =6, -12).
