Art Less is an online mockumentary-style web series created by Gabriel Fowler. The series follows a group of New England Teenagers, and documents the often ridiculous and comedic, yet also dramatic lives they lead. The series draws inspiration from a mix of other media including The Office, Parks and Recreation, Clerks, Glee, and That 70's Show. Season One The first season of Art Less was written by Gabriel Fowler, Alex Desjardin, Andrew Cohen, and Faith Willet commencing in November 2015 and finishing January 2016. Filming began on March 19, 2016, and was set to wrap filming on April 23, 2016. However, due to technical and scheduling issues, and actors/crew leaving the production, filming did not complete until August 3, 2016. The pilot episode was initially released on May 31, 2016, on YouTube. The first episode was rereleased along with the first season, consisting of five episodes in total, on Tuesday, October 19, 2016, on Amazon Video. Season Two Gabriel Fowler, Alex Desjardin, and Andrew Cohen began outlining and writing the second season of Art Less in April of 2016, while season one was still filming. In August of 2016, writer and episodic do-director Maia Buljeta began writing for the second season. The second season was announced via the official Art Less Facebook page on February 13, 2017. It will consist of seven episodes, all of which are set to be released for streaming on February 2, 2018. Several roles were recast for the second season, including the roles of Emily Kurtz and Erin Parsons being recast with Kim Rogers and Olivia Cohen respectively playing the parts.
