Arkansas-Baylor football rivalry

The University of Arkansas Razorbacks football team was once one of Baylor's oldest rivals as the series dates from 1904. The two teams were both football powers in the old Southwest Conference. The programs competed heavily for East Texas recruits during the SWC era and played many close and contested football games while playing for nearly 90 years as conference foes. Arkansas leads series 35-33. The rivalry ended when Arkansas moved to the SEC and Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, And Texas Tech merged into the Big Eight to make the Big 12. Baylor's biggest rivals today is Texas Tech, TCU, And SMU. Arkansas's biggest rivals today is LSU, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, And Missouri. Arkansas and Baylor fans say this is a old rivalry.
