April Carrión

April Carrión is the stage name of Jason Carrión, a Puerto Rican drag queen best known for competing on the of RuPaul's Drag Race and placing 11th.
Early Life
Carrión was born in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico on April 23, 1989. In 2007 they attended the School of Plastic Arts and Design of Puerto Rico, where they earned a bachelor's degree. They started doing drag when they were 20 years old. The name April Carrión comes from the month they were born and their last name.
Career
Carrión was the winner of the Miss Krash Puerto Rico pageant in 2011.
They appeared in the music video for Gloria Estefan's "Hotel Nacional" in February 16, 2012.
They were announced as one of fourteen contestants for the sixth season of RuPaul's Drag Race on February 24, 2014. In episode one, they were in the top three of the sewing challenge. In episode three, they were in the bottom two with Vivacious, and they won a lip sync to "Shake It Up" by Selena Gomez. They were eliminated the next episode after losing a lip sync to "I'm Every Woman" by Chaka Khan, against Trinity K. Bonet, and placing 11th. In subsequent episodes, Carrion posted photos on their social media of their runway looks if they stayed in the competition, the first Drag Race alumni to do so.
Outside of Drag Race, Carrión was with other alumni for an episode of Skin Wars.
Carrión was one of the stars of the 2014 Puerto Rican LGBT documentary Mala Mala.
Music
They were a part of RuPaul's album "RuPaul Presents: The CoverGurlz" singing his song "Sexy Drag Queen". A music video was released on January 28, 2014.
Personal Life
Carrión came out as being genderqueer on October 11, 2016.
