April 2011 North Atlantic cyclone

The April 2011 North Atlantic cyclone, also called 91L.INVEST or Storm 91L, was a short lived, unusual weather event of 2011. Forming on April 19 from a non-tropical cyclone in the north Atlantic, it acquired some features resembling a subtropical cyclone as well as peak winds of 40 mph. Despite this, the system has not been classified. If it had been classified, it would have likely been given the name Subtropical Storm Arlene which would make it the first tropical or subtropical cyclone, as well as one of only two other tropical or subtropical cyclones to form during the month of April. However, as it moved into an area of high wind-shear late on April 22, it fell apart. Moisture from its remains then caused substantial rainfall in Puerto Rico, which led to widespread flooding and mudslides.
