Appin Security Group,is an information security products, services and training company based in New Delhi, India. The company was founded in 2004 by graduates from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. The firm pioneered the field of Ethical Hacking training programs specifically designed to teach Information Security in India.
The company has a research and development pact with Indian Institute of Technology Delhi to provide cutting edge research based solutions for testing, patching, and securing confidentiality and integrity of the data stored in computers and communicated over networks. Appin Security Group provides security to various international airports such as Hyderabad International Airport, Delhi International Airport and so on. Appin's solutions have been implemented across different sectors in different nations across Asia, Africa, Middle East and Europe.
Appin Security also obtained empanelment with CERT-In Ministry of IT and CCA Ministry of IT.
In its initial years, Appin joined hands with Manipal education group to launch manipal appin security expert course designed to teach Students Information Security & Ethical Hacking.
In 2007, Appin started an innovation and R&D center in IIT Delhi to develop state of teh art penetration and interception softwares
In 2008, Appin joined hands with Intertek group of UK to launch Information security certification for software applications. This certificate was to determine whether an application is hack-proof in over 157 different parameters.
In 2008, Appin bought 50% stake in IDCertainty, a US-based security company subsidiary of PGMX Inc. This acquisition marked the entry of Appin in the US Gaming security market where account and internet frauds are rampant. A patent has been applied for same.
Appin conducted an Information Security event titled Security Bug Bash in partnership with Microsoft to raise the awareness of Information Security and anti-hacking practices among college students and corporates of India. .
Appin partnered with Telcordia to offer Information Security Services to Indian Telecom companies including Bharti-airtel, Vodafone, Idea, Huawei among others.
