Anne Whitaker

Anne Whitaker is a consultant astrologer and astrology teacher. She has a background in adult education, generic and psychiatric social work, and private practice: as a counsellor, counselling supervisor and mentor. She lives and works in Glasgow, Scotland.
Her articles and essays have appeared in a wide range of newspapers, magazines and journals over the years including Kindred Spirit magazine (UK), Glasgow UK’s Sunday Herald, the Glasgow Herald, Apollon: the Journal of Psychological Astrology and The Mountain Astrologer (USA). She studied at the Centre for Psychological Astrology in London from 1995-1998 to complete a three-year Diploma in Psychological Astrology with renowned teacher, writer and astrologer Dr Liz Greene. and the late Charles Harvey.
Her first book, “Jupiter Meets Uranus - from Erotic Bathing to Star Gazing” was published by the American Federation of Astrologers in 2009 (USA). Anne Whitaker writes for the UK’s Astrological Journal, where she has the bi-monthly piece, ‘Not the Astrology Column’. Her work is featured in The Mountain Astrologer magazine (most recent articles being “Dreaming Frankenstein: The making of a modern myth” ) and “The Saturn Cycles: forging the ‘diamond soul’ “), for whom she also writes book reviews. She also writes for Infinity Astrological Magazine, most recently in the November/December 2016 issue.
