Dr. Anil K. Mehta (born june 17, 1954) is an Ayurvedacharya (Ayurvedic doctor), teacher, public speaker and writer on Ayurveda & spirituality. Dr. Mehta started his carrier as an Ayurvedic doctor in New Delhi in year 1977 after getting his graduation degree G.A.M.S in Ayurveda from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, India. Dr. Mehta started his international carrier in the field of medical practice and teaching in Ayurveda in year 1980 when he migrated to Holland. Family history Dr. Anil K. Mehta was born in Jalandhar, India. He belongs to a family of Ayurvedic doctors. His grandfather Pandit Sain Ditta Mal Vaid was a renowned Vaid of his times in pre partitioned India. His grandfather at that time was given the title “Mehta” by the English rulers of India. He received this title for his services as an Ayurvedic doctor and social worker. Due to the turbulent times of India's independence struggle and partition his father was not being able to continue the family tradition as a Ayurvedic Vaidya and joined the Police forces. Dr. Mehta’s family lives nowadays in India and Holland.
