Anida is Diana Haddad's first live album released in late 1996 by Stallions in the Arab World following her success in the debut album Saken. Background and development Anida (1996) covers Haddad's performance at the Shatora concert in Lebanon in 1996. At the time, Haddad only had one studio album, Saken (1996), and three singles, "Saken", "Lagaitak", and "Al Sahrah". Haddad performed all of these singles and gave her audience a sneak peak of what was coming when she performed the new song "Anida" which was later included on her sophomore studio album Ahl Al Esheg, released a year later in 1997. Haddad also performed some songs from the Lebanese folklore besides the song "Tayr Al Yamama" which was on her debut album Saken (1996) and considered the first original song by Haddad. "Tayr Al Yamama" was performed at a talent show for the first time when Haddad was a teen. The performance of the song hasn't changed ever since it was performed for the first time. Release and promotion Live albums weren't common in popular culture in the late 90s. However, Stallions, Haddad's record label, thought it would be a good idea to record one. Due to the success Saken had in 1996 and as an extra promotion for Haddad next project, Anida was released. This is Haddad's first and only live album as of 2012. Number of fake live albums are being sold in record stores but they are not official. Track listing
