Angus Thomas

Angus Thomas was born 22nd March 1963 in Earls Court Square, London. After a career in property development Angus has found his voacation as a portrait photographer working in London and the South East of England. His subjects range from senior comapnay executives to children - typicallay he shoots on location whether in the office or in the home. His preference is to shoot people where they are most connected to their surroundings. His work can be viewed on his website and his various ramblings can be followed through his blog. Some of his photos can be found on flickr Unscarred by a photographic education Angus learned his craft through taking pictures, taking more pictures and taking even more pictures. Anything he knows about flash he learned from the Strobist website run by one time news photographer David Hobby. He was originally inspired by legendary Australian shooter Andrew Thomasson. Angus divides his time between London, Peasemore and Dharamsala - OK maybe not the last one but maybe one day! Angus has recently been nominated for the Peasemore Portrait prize with a cash value of $25,000 - results due 1st December 2008.
