Andrew W Kelly

Andrew has worked in the Community Transport / Voluntary Sector for nearly ten years in Oxfordshire. Before coming to Westway Community Transport he was Deputy Director of the Oxfordshire Council for Voluntary Action, responsible for improving access to transportation for people with disabilities. His role there was to identify gaps in service, develop new services and manage existing services for people with disability; to provide training and information on community transport issues to individuals and organisations in Oxfordshire.

Andrew developed the Oxfordshire Dial-a Ride, which began as a small city-based scheme when he took over, to a service that now nearly covers the whole county. Andrew, over the years, had worked with many volunteers to set up new schemes such as Shopmobility and Community Car Schemes. He has also worked in partnership with the Local Rural Transport Partnerships and local people to start up some community bus schemes in the County.

Andrew Kelly took up the post of Director of Westway Community Transport in April 2002. Westway CT is an Industrial and Provident Society and provides Community Transport to the London Borough’s of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.
