Andreas Burwick

Andreas Burwick - German IT pioneer and investor, Founder of the SmartWeb Group, author of many scientific works and leading expert in blockchain technology.
Andreas Burwick was born in Stuttgart. He  spent most of his childhood in Aachen, Germany. After he graduated, he understood that he was drawn to programming and math.  After studying at Berlin Technical University, he went to the Technical University of Aachen, where he obtained a master’s degree in 1994.
Andreas has been working in the computer industry science since 1994, by starting his career as a Managing Director of the "GMI Society for Mathematics and Computer Science GmbH " based in Aachen.
Andreas Burwick is best known as a founder of the international Software Vendor Thinking Networks AG based in Aachen (Germany), which he founded in 1999, and is providing planning as a service for large corporations in over than 60 countries. Among company’s customers are: Atos, Beiersdorf, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Telekom, OTTO Group, and Porsche Bank. In some years the Thinking Networks AG achieved even higher profitability than MICROSOFT (35%). In 2010 the company was sold to the largest European authorized MICROSOFT Replicator.
Andreas is considered a leading authority in IT education field. In 2001 he published his work "Dynamic structures in locally coupled neural networks" at the University of Münster.
Andreas is also an author of book “New corporate planning. Successful companies as a thinking Networks”. In this book he assets an idea of right planning tools for companies and remarks that company of the future is smart and is driven by a thinking network.
Having been inspired by innovative blockchain approach, Andreas established the SmartWeb Group in Dusseldorf in 2010, which is focusing on the development of Blockchain-based applications.
Andreas has appeared at IT industry’s shows , radio broadcasts, webinars and print media interviews . As a blockchain expert, Burwick was a speaker on the international conferences, amongst them "Euroforum" in Cologne and the NOAH Conference in London and Berlin.
Andreas Burwick is  a great supporter of charity events, campaigns and organizations. As an example he has donated over 100.000 USD to the UNICEF organization.
Andreas Burwick is a friend of the director Oliver Stone and thus got the opportunity to play in the Hollywood movie Savages.
