Andre Ramos

Andre Ramos (born about 1962) is a prominent scouter within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the Young Men General Board, one of the few Hispanics who have ever served on this body. Ramos and his wife Rita are currently working on developing the first bilingual Wood badge course in the Ogden, Utah area.

Ramos grew up in Nevada and was first introduced to the Church through involvement in a Cub Scout Pack. Because of the positive experience of Scouting his parents were receptive to the missionaries and the whole family eventually joined The Church.

Ramos has been involved in organizing scout troops in Dallas, Texas, San Angelo, Texas, Monterrey. Mexico and Ogden, Utah. A large amount of his work with scouting is done in cooperation with his wife, Rita.

This Andres Ramos should not be confused with a different Andres Ramos who has served as director of temporal affiars for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Central America Area.

Ramos has served three times as a bishop, three times as a branch president and in several other church assignments, mainly related to leading the Aaronic Priesthood or Scouting. He works in law enforcement.
