André Valentim Almeida (born 1977) is a Portuguese filmmaker and film editor currently teaching editing at Lisbon Theatre and Film School. As a filmmaker, his work has been shown at Doclisboa, IndieLisboa, Visions du Réel, FIDMarseille, Jihlava, DOK Leipzig, CPH:DOX, DMZDocs, MoMA, Carpenter Center for Visual Arts and TEDx Brooklyn among others. He has been commissioned by several institutions to create films exploring archival footage and heritage.
