Anandrao Mane Anandrao Mane was a renowned horticulturists in India. His creations include Mumbai Mantralay, Mumbai; Sarasbaug, Pune; Shivaji University garden, Kolhapur; National Chemical Laboratory garden, Pune. He hailed from Kasabe-Sangav town from Kolhapur district and belonged to 96 Kuli Maratha family. His last name "Mane" was part of the title "Bhim Bahadur Mane" assigned to his family as an acknowledgment to the Heroics in a battle. The Mane family from Kasabe-Sangav also have honorary right of first prayers at the "Temple of Jyotiba", a Shiva incarnation, in the state of Maharashtra.
