Amina Nabi

Amina Nabi is a technology entrepreneur and The Royal Bank of Scotland Asian Woman of the year 2013. She is best known as a Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the brand consumer engagement social media platform Kinnect2. Together with her team and fellows Mubashar Manzoor, and Ebad Baig she has developed a marketing platform Kinnect2.

Early Life
Amina Nabi was born on January 25, 1983, in Glasgow, Scotland. She is the daughter of an accounting practitioner Mr. Ghulam Nabi born in Amritsar (India) pre-partition and migrated to Pakistan post-partition.
College Years
Amina Nabi completed a BSc (Hons) in Technology and Business Studies and an MSc in Technology Entrepreneurship, both from the University of Strathclyde. She worked with various public and private enterprises, charities and not-for-profits at all stages of their business, from start-up to exit, to identify potential opportunities for growth and development as well as create sustainable value within a variety of industries.
Saltire Fellow
She graduated in July 2011 as a Saltire Fellow. The fellowship involved a fast track MBA at College in Boston, a placement at Liberty Mutual and a placement in Freeflow Global Babson.
Power of Youth Fellow
In June 2012, Amina Nabi was given the opportunity to become a Power of Youth Fellow, to influence and catalyse the spirit of social entrepreneurship at a global level.
Career
Currently, she is the CEO and Founder of Kinnect2 - a social networking platform for consumer- brand engagement.
During September 2007 to December 2009, she worked as a business consultant at Ahmad & Nabi-McMullan. There she advised new business ideas and objectives to current and new client base. Between September 2010 to December 2014, Amina Nabi worked as Saltire fellow consultant at TwoDegrees. She advised them on the positioning of their product in the USA and devised a plan for their business with a fellow member of staff. In April 2011 to July 2014, she provided the same services to Free-Flow Bikes Ltd. Meanwhile, she also advised them to streamline their in-house manufacturing.
August 2011 until May 2012 she worked as a project manager and Non-executive director of innovation and planning. She worked on a 6 City strategy to help commercialize Free Flow Global’s very own saltire e-bike hire scheme across Scotland and help grow it to a global economy.
