Americus Abesamis

Americus Abesamis (born April 18, 1971) is an American actor and martial artist. He often portrays bodyguards and sumo wrestlers in film and television.
Biography
Abesamis was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he attended St. Peters Preparatory School and graduated in 1989. In 1996, he began his acting career with an uncredited role in the film Satan Claus, portraying a cop. This was followed by another uncredited role in the 1996 film Joe's Apartment where he played Bianco's bodyguard. His next acting role came six years later, appearing in a 2002 episode of Strong Medicine, playing the character Dr. Americus. He then appeared in several films and television shows, such as MADtv, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, The Mentalist, iCarly: iGo to Japan, Hannah Montana, Chuck, Castle, Richard III, Feel the Noise, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, among others. Americus appeared as a contestant on the NBC game show Who's Still Standing on January 9, 2012.
Abesamis has competed in amateur sumo for several years in heavyweight and open weight classes. He resides in Burbank, California.
