American Grant Writers Association

American Grant Writers Association (AGWA), a 501c6 association, is the oldest national grant writing association in the United States. The AGWA is an association of independent grant writers, grant seekers and grant funders. The AGWA is registered with the Better Business Bureau .
Purpose: The purpose of the AGWA is to establish Professional Standards, Best Practices and Ethical Practices for grant writers.
History: The AGWA was founded on January 1, 2002 by three school teachers. Originally developed only for education, the association quickly grew to include all types of non-profit organizations.
