Amateur snooker longest frame

There are many amateur snooker leagues operating the length and breadth of Britain and a single frame may range from 20 minutes to around an hour and there is a vast range of abilities that compete. There is now much conjecture between different leagues on whether statistics are transferable between leagues due to there being no standardised rules and regulations but this is one that was without dispute.
When Droylsden Catholic Club visited Lauriston of Chorlton in the 2013/14 season of the Levenshulme and District snooker league 2 players were about to make history for all the wrong reasons. The 2 players were Steve Riva from the home side Lauriston and Jimmy Loughman from the visitors Droylsden. Each players officiated over other matches whilst they waited for their turn to play with the preceeding matches relatively fast paced and free flowing. When the pair took to the table there was the added pressure that the match was tied and the successor in this game could have a real impact on the final result. The match started cagey and Riva who is well known for his grinding abilities was reluctant to allow an easy first chance or even much time at the table as he deliberated over every shot. Without any recogniseable breaks made by either player the game went stale and there were still reds on the table at the hour mark. As the frame drew to a close both players could still win prolonging the outcome but eventually Riva's tactic won through as he triumphed over a dejected Loughman after 90+ minutes of snooker. The longest frame ever in this league and in the majority of amateur snooker leagues at 1 hour and 32 minutes.
The nightmare was not yet finished for Jimmy Loughman though as his best friend and team mate Alan Hopkinson teased and berated him after the performance and also that cruel fate decided that he would meet Riva again in the reverse fixture at Droylsden but this time no records were to be set as the frame ended with the same outcome in just under an hour.
