Amar Rashid

Amar Rashid (; born 16 May 1986) is an English cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls leg spin.
Family
Rashid was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire. His family belongs to the Mirpuri community in Pakistan, his family having migrated to England in 1967 from Azad Kashmir. He attended Belle Vue Boys' School in Bradford. His brothers Haroon and Adil are also cricketers.
Cricketing career
Rashid played for Leeds/Bradford UCCE from 2003 to 2007. He played second XI cricket for Worcestershire in 2007 and 2008, Leicestershire in 2010, and Hampshire in 2011. On 28 February 2011, Rashid was included in the Unicorns squad for the 2011 Clydesdale Bank 40. It was in this competition that he made his List A debut against Lancashire. He made eight further appearances for the Unicorns in the 2011 competition, taking a total of 4 wickets at an average of 72.50, with best figures of 1/30. He also scored 61 runs in these matches, which came at an average of 12.20, with a high score of 24 not out.
