Amadour

Amadour (born 1995) is an American conceptual artist and musician. Amadour grew up in Reno, Nevada, and Sausalito, California, graduated from UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture in 2018, and lives and works in Los Angeles, California and New York City, New York.
Amadour released EP Western Movie Dream in 2023, which has been widely reviewed by critics.
As an artist Amadour works with FF Projects, Kotaro Nukaga, and Galería La Cometa. Their art and paintings have been featured in prestigious publications such as Artillery Magazine, , , , and ARTnews. Amadour studied at the University of California, Los Angeles, with artists Barbara Kruger, Andrea Fraser, Lari Pittman, Adrian Wong, Catherine Opie, and Adrian Saxe.
Amadour has also curated museum and gallery exhibitions with artists including Simone Leigh, Bruce Nauman, Martin Kippenberger, Sam Francis, and Lita Albuquerque, amongst other artists. As a writer, they have interviewed artists William Kentridge, Jonas Wood, George Condo, Idina Menzel, Julian Lennon, George Clinton, Banks and published writing for , , and Brooklyn Rail. Amadour was chosen to write a commemorative essay for Richard Diebenkorn's centennial anniversary.
