Allen Aptekar

Dr. Allen Aptekar is a Canadian-born dentist. He lives and practices implant-based dentistry in the Greater Toronto Area. His practice is limited to Implant dentistry. Dr. Aptekar has been quoted on several occasions in the Toronto Star (Toronto's largest newspaper) on his implant work. He is also the Editor In-Chief of Canada's only dental implant iournal: The Journal of Clinical an d Practical Oral Implantology. Aptekar also participates in ongoing research. Early Years and Education Aptekar was born in Toronto, Ontario and raised in Thornhill, Ontario. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Toronto. He knew he wanted to become a dentist at an early age, as he liked working with his hands and was fond of his brother in-law, a dentist, growing up. He attended the University of Saskatchewan, College of Dentistry, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine with distinction. He then completed a one year General Practice Residency at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. After finishing his GPR, Aptekar began to narrow his practice to dental implantology. Aptekar has mastered and promoted the "all-in-four" technique in Canada, which is a procedure that allows an entire set of teeth to be placed on titanium implants in one day.
