Alfa Romeo 18 world records

In 1982, Alfa Romeo managed to achieve 18 world records with a diesel engine on the track to Nardò in Puglia, Italy, to demonstrate that diesel-fueled cars can also have sporting performance. Still, the best average time was obtained by the Alfetta with an average of 190 km per hour with diesel fuel and petrol cars. In the diesel categories, Alfa Romeo got the best speed between the diesel cars. Alfa Romeo became champion of the world for speed and endurance getting the record for speed distances over 50,000 km. Sponsor and partnership The record-breaking victory was the result of help from the Alfa Romeo coach Terry Drury. A new World Record On May 22, 2012, The Klub Alfa Romeo started from Kraški in Poland and made the Guinness World Record for having the largest parade of Alfa Romeo cars. This parade was held in Gorjansko, Slovenia. The parade had 526 Alfa Romeo vehicles that paraded on a 25 km route.
