Alexis Green is an English broadcast journalist and presenter, best known for her work as a weather presenter on the regional news programme BBC South Today. Early life Green was born in Winchester and was first brought up in Twyford. At age 4 she moved with her family to Fordingbridge where she helped run a family farm. At age 16 she moved to Mudeford, Dorset, on the coast. Broadcast career At age 23, Green started as a runner at CBBC on the series .<ref name="southtoday" /> Green later moved on to become a researcher and then studio floor manager at ITN for Channel 4 News and Five News. This role included operating cameras, controlling autocue and standing in as a weather presenter.<ref name"southtoday" /><ref name"biog" /> Next, Green volunteered in Surrey at a local radio station, where she later presented the Midlands travel news for two years.
