Alex Kweskin

Alexander Ayres Kweskin (born June 19 1984) is an American musician most well known for playing with the Los Angeles rock band, The Shys. He learned to play piano when in grade school, and learned to play the drums when he was thirteen. Before Mike Walker joined The Shys, he also played drums. He met lead singer Kyle Krone when they were in first grade together at Concordia Elementary in San Clemente. Joined by Chris Wulff, the three formed a band in high school. He is the third of four children. Kweskin is largely influenced by the classic American songwriters of the 1950s and 1960s. He counts Bob Dylan, Ray Charles, Howlin Wolf, Smokey Robinson and Gram Parsons as his biggest musical influences.
