Alejandro Romero is a first generation American whose parents are from Spain and Colombia. He grew up in Chicago surrounded by culture, art, and gourmet food. He went to a progressive arts school as a child that dared to have him star in Shakespeare's Hamlet at 12 years old. He is also a talented dancer who traveled with the CMC to New York. While studying abroad in Rome, Italy as a teenager he was fortunate enough to visit the old Cinecitta studios and walk on the set of the Martin Scorsese film Gangs of New York. From that moment on, he knew that he was meant to be a part of the filmmaking world. He enrolled as a Director at Columbia Chicago and upon moving to Los Angeles he worked successfully behind the scenes. That is, until he got the privilege of working with John Malkovich and Gillian Jacobs, and was inspired to go back to his acting roots. He began passionately studying acting at Milton Katselas' Beverly Hills Playhouse. After attending an open call audition for the film Powder Blue he was offered the highly coveted character role of Lexus. Alejandro Romero makes his feature film debut opposite Forest Whitaker.
