Aleanca Kuq e Zi

Aleanca Kuq e Zi or AKZ is an Albanian NGO led by Kreshnik Spahiu against the registration on etnic and religious base.
Leka I signed the petition as the 20.000 man.
Importance
The Alliance is against registration on religious and ethnic base. They aren't against the registration itself, but against the misuse of it. They are afraid if this registration will start, people will declare themselves of Greek ethnicity merely to be granted pensions from the Greek government, which currently pays such pensions to the Greeks in Albania
Meetings and protests, organized by the alliance, have been held in the cities of Vlorë, Elbasan, Pogradec eccetera. and by April 13 2011 50,000 people had underwritten its program.

*PDIU is against the registation.
*PD thinks the registration is needed.
Greek consul declarations and reaction
The Greek consul in Korçe declared that the people must not be afraid to declare themselves of Greek ethnicity and said that the Vlachs are Greek and must declare themselves so. This led to heavy reaction by the PDIU, that declared that the consul must be declared persona non grata, they also said that the Greek government must stop the consuls provocations. The Greek government recalled the consul as a result.
