Albert Mensah

Albert Mensah is a Ghanaian born motivational speaker, business coach, and author. Mensah speaks and writes about embracing change in order to succeed, increasing work morale and productivity, and enhancing team commitment to youth and corporate audiences alike. Mensah's books include When the Drumbeat Changes Dance A Different Dance (2000), OK Means Opportunity Knocking (Make the Most of Every Chance Encounter) (2005), and Secrets of Effective Goal Making (2008).
Early life and career
Mensah grew up in Abesewa, Ghana and he is an Ashanti. In 1978 he left Ghana for America. Matriculating onward to receive a bachelor's degree in English from Western Maryland College, Mensah also has academic prestige from the Dale Carnegie School of Public Speaking. After graduating from Western Maryland College he went on to have a successful Fortune 500 sales career. Later his passion for the sport of soccer lead him to open a sporting goods store. Finally, he earned the Certified Speaking Professional certificate and has grown his public speaking business well.
In 1999, Mensah placed second in the Toastmasters International World Championship of Public Speaking contest held in Chicago, United States. Although the award usually takes a 5-year period to attain, Mensah managed to attain it within a 4-year period. This victory made him one of the first Africans, and Ghanaians to ever attain this feat. He is rated one of the top seven percent of professional speakers internationally.
Mensah has appeared in the lineup to speak with Harry Belafonte at the University of Michigan. Mensah has worked with large and international companies such as Costco, John Deere, Microsoft, Starbucks, and Boeing, he continues to speak to audiences of all sizes for inspiration and change. Along with names such as Farrah Gray, Les Brown, and Tony Robbins, Mensah has been named number 37 of the top 60 motivational speakers in the world.
Deemed as the "Ambassador of Opportunity", Mensah speaks to audiences today while participating in several podcasts and radio shows as well. He is also a consult for companies on the verge of corporate change, organizational transformation, and a keynote speaker too.
