Albert Kim is an American television writer and producer. He is the creator, showrunner, and executive producer of the live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix. Previously, he was the executive producer and co-showrunner of the 20th Century Fox Television drama Sleepy Hollow. He has also written for and produced the shows Pantheon, Nikita, Leverage, and Dirt. Prior to his TV career, Kim worked as a writer and editor for Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, People, Details, and Esquire. To promote diversity in the media, Kim has worked with CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment), AAJA (Asian American Journalists Association), and (Asian American Writers' Workshop). In 2001, he created a sportswriting internship program in conjunction with the AP Sports Editors to encourage minority college students to pursue careers in sports journalism.
