Akiva leffler

Akiva Leffler (born in Germany in 1947) is considered one of the greatest players in Israel Handball Association.
Leffler moved to Israel in 1949 and began his career at the age of 16 when merged with Hapoel Herzliya. He led Hapoel Herzliya to the state championship in 1972, an achievement that has never returned, and the State Cup in 1973.
Leffler moved to spain in 1974 to play handball for FC Barcelona where he played until 1976 and was part of winning the Spanish League Cup Handball. In addition, he played for the Israel National Handball Team.
Currently serves as director of professional handball club Herzliya, and sports teacher in high school "Harishonim" in the city.
