AJ (born Lee Ki-Gwang, March 30, 1990) is a South Korean pop/hip-hop/R&B singer. He trained for 4 years under JYP Entertainment and later moved to Cube Entertainment. His debut date was on April 2, 2009 with his single 'Dancing Shoes.' History One of K-pop's most anticipated newcomers, AJ makes his debut with First Episode A New Hero. Another protege of powerhouse producer Park Jin Young, AJ underwent four years of training to prepare for his debut, and is currently under JYP Entertainment's sister company Cube Entertainment. The 19-year-old rookie has been building up buzz in the past month with dance videos and guerrilla street performances, and he's making quite the splash with his all-around dancing and singing talents. For his debut release, AJ teamed up with renowned songwriters and producers Brave Brothers, who have crafted hits for Big Bang, Son Dam Bi, and Brown Eyed Girls. He puts on his Dancing Shoes (Track 2) for his first single, an uptempo R&B dance tune with hard beats. AJ shows off his famed dance moves in the song's music video which features former Wonder Girls member Hyun Ah. Hyun Ah also lends her voice to the catchy hip-hop and electronica number 2009.
