AirAsia Flight 104, a plying the route between Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu over-ran the runway while landing at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport. This occurred at 1730 local time (1130 GMT). Two passengers were injured. Five take-offs compromising other AirAsia and Malaysia Airlines flights had to be rescheduled and five in-bound flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport were diverted to the Sandakan airport. This occurred three weeks before AirAsia's Initial Public Offering (IPO) on November 22, 2004. |
