Aigul Nuryieva

Aigul Nuriyeva (also known as Aigul Nurieva and Aigul Muratovna Nurieva), born August 1974, is a Kazakh banker who sits on the board of the Kazakh telephone company. In 2017, Nuriyeva was 12th in Forbes’ ranking of Kazakhstan’s richest people. She had held interests in Altel and Kaztranscom and still owns the service company Midas Telecom.
Nuriyeva is the daughter of Marat Nuriyev, the president of Almaty Academy of Economics and Statistics.
Career
Nuriyeva is the head of investment companies Bodam and Alnair Capital Holdings that own minority shares in Kazcommercebank and the monopolist company Kazakhtelecom.
TeliaSonera transaction
According to a 2013 report, Telia Sonera paid around $205 million for telecom assets to Nuriyeva and Raushan Sagdiyeva. stated: "AsiaNet Kazakhstan was owned by Aigul Nuriyeva at the time of the sale to Tele2. When AsiaNet Kazakhstan acquired its stake in MT-S, the entity was co-owned by an investment company. A potential link between Aigul Nuriyeva and the Kazakh Prime Minister at the time of the transaction (Karim Massimov) was identified... Aigul Nuriyeva stated she previously had a working relationship with Karim Massimov when they were colleagues and prior to him entering politics. That working relationship had ended, and they had no ongoing business relations at the time of the transaction... Aigul Nuriyeva was considered a politically exposed person. She had indicated that this was due to her board membership of Kazakhtelecom, her ties to a shareholder of Kazakhtelecom and her former marriage to a Kazakh diplomat.
