Ahmad Hussain is a songwriter, music producer and nasheed artist, born in November 1981. He is also the founder of Iqra Promotions. He worked in the mainstream music industry as DJ Billy until the death of his sister, This prompted Hussain to question his own life and he began searching for answers in Islam. This lead him to disassociate himself from the mainstream music industry and what he perceived to be the prideful nature of it. In 2004 Hussain began work to set up a chain of Islamic outlets to promote the religion. He also set up Iqra Promotions, a medium by which he could promote artists who share and express the same values. In 2006 He met with and produced Kamal Uddin’s album Illallah, which has gained success and acclaim internationally. In 2008 he produced and featured on the album Show me the way by Wajid Akhtar. Hussain released his first single in 2009 entitled Aye Khuda which was No. 1 on Noor TV's top ten charts, five weeks consecutively. More recently Hussain has released his debut album I Turn To You, which features tracks in English, Urdu, and Arabic. He has also released a video, Children of The World, a nasheed that expresses the suffering of orphan children.
