Aflah Madasseri is an Indian 18 year old achiever who invented a “Blind Torch” dedicating to his English teacher from Manjeri native, Kochi. Aflah won the second prize in the Innovative India Contest for his invention "Blind Torch", which is used by blind people to detect obstacles and objects in their path. Early Life Aflah Madasseri is 18 years old. Aflah was born in Manjeri native, Kochi. He has completed XII from the Malappuram and presently pursuing Mechanical engineering. When Aflah was in class VIII, he would see his English teacher, who is blind, battling while strolling out and about with a stick and considered how he could help him. At that point in class XI he read about beam optics in school and a thought struck him. Aflah thought about developing a device that informs a blind person if there is any impediment on the way and then he put his absolute entirety into creating it," His innovation 'blind torch', a device (almost the size of a mobile) that helps a blind person some assistance with sensing what is front of him.
