Aewm

aewm is a minimal X window manager written in C for Linux and other Unix-like systems. One of its goals is to be a good, basic implementation of the ICCCM and EWMH specifications. The standard distribution includes a taskbar which, together with the window manager, comprises an extremely bare bones implementation of a Windows 95-esque desktop environment.
According to the aewm home page, aewm is written all-lowercase, but stands for "An Exiguous Window Manager".
