Adrian Gagea

Adrian Gagea (born 2 June 1941, Campulung Moldovenesc, Romania) is Emeritus Honorary Member of the International University Sports Federation, former professor, scholar, inventor engineer, multiple national champion and record holder in athletics.
He was Professor of Biomechanics at the Medical Disciplines Department, Faculty of Kinesiotherapy, National Academy of Physical Education and Sport Bucharest and doctoral supervisor to 83 PhD students.
Concomitant, he was Senior Scientific Researcher and Director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research "Alexandru Partheniu" at University of Physical Education and Sport, where he published over one hundred scientific papers and 16 books.
His OSIM protected patents refers to Electrophysiology and Biomechanics fields.
From 1964 to 1974,he was 18 times national champion in Athletics - Shot Put (including 11 times on indoor) and held several national records.
He was elected Auditor of FISU in six consecutive mandates of four years each (1991-2015), attending at 26 different Universiade and being Chairman at 14 different World University Championships.
He was a temporary member of "L'Equipe Cousteau", participated in two expeditions at the Danube Delta and collaborated on four documentaries, 1992-1993.
Biography
Was a student at "Liviu Rebreanu" College in Bistrita, Bistrita-Nasaud County;
He graduated from the Technical University "Gheorghe Asachi " in Iasi, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the current "Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Energetics and Applied Informatics", in 1965;
He graduated from the National Academy of Physical Education and Sport in Bucharest in 1974;
He did doctoral studies ScD in Institute of Biology, AWF Warsaw in 1978;
He equated doctoral studies PhD at the Ministry of Education in Bucharest in 1993. He was professor at National Academy of Physical Education and Sport in the period 1965-2011, currently focuses on Biomechanics, Logical-mathematical models and Electrophysiological effects of sports effort.
In compliance with him the following results of his researches can be considered as intellectual property:
The logical-mathematical pattern of simulation of the paucineuronal nets behavior involved in human motor reaction;
identification of the minimum quantity of electricity (quebase) that causes muscular twitch (secouse) in man;
the discovery of the phenomenon of the phasic-tonics compensation in neuromuscular excitability by increasing muscle power;
the theoretical and experimental identifying the unitary phenomena of the human electro-dermal reflexes;
enlargement of quantity-quality conversion functions (alpha-gamma);
significance of maximum instant anaerobic power indicator;
and simulation of overcompensation in the effort-recovery iteration cycles by a hysteresis relationship of the effort difficulty.
