Adina Spire (born 25 December 1977 in Arad, Romania) is a romanian composer, conductor and cellist. She was born into a family of musicians and art managers and first studied cello with her mother , Nuna Spire, and composition with her father, George Spire, starting at the age of 4, and subsequentelly at the Conservatory of Arad , where she graduated with highest honors. She later studied in Zürich and Berlin. She worked almost exclusively in her native Romania and in Russia as a sacred music composer , director of choir and orchestra and teacher of film composition. In 2008 she founded the Bezdin Ensemble, a specialized ensemble for sacred music, consisting of a chamber orchestra, choir and vocalists.
