Adel Al-Roumi

Adel Mohammed Al-Roumi is a Kuwaiti businessman, who is the current chairman of Kuwait Telecommunications Company (commonly referred to as VIVA) and the head of the Partnership Technical Bureau (PTB) in Kuwait that involves operating Kuwait's BOT (Build, Operate, and Transfer) programme.
Al-Roumi completed his bachelor’s degree in the United States; and also holds various post-graduate degrees from Harvard School of Business, Northwestern University and London Business School.
Al-Roumi started his career in New York, where he worked for the Kuwait Investment Authority.
He was later called to the Kuwait Investment Office in London, where he was promoted to Senior Vice President and Director of Asian Investments.
He later moved to Kuwait to establish “Kuwait Small Projects and Development Company” the role of which was to oversea the development of small and medium business enterprises in Kuwait.
He later served as the director of Institutions and New Investments within the Kuwait Investment authority, monitoring investments and participations in regional and international developmental institution, where he evaluated new development investment projects and organized new projects approved by the council of ministers.
