ActCAD
ActCAD - a family of 2D/3D CAD software for Microsoft Windows operating systems. The producer of ActCAD software is Jytra Technology Solutions Private Limited, India (ActCAD LLC USA), which belongs to the ITC Consortium (Intellicad Technology Consortium). In their solutions, in addition to the IntelliCAD engine programs from the ActCAD family also use the ACIS programming tools (3DS) and Open Design Alliance (ODA) libraries.
ActCAD software is also available in 15 languages including Czech, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Traditional Chinese and Turkish.
The user interface is modeled in a fashion similar to thet of AutoCAD, including menus, floating toolbars, ribbon and command line command syntax, support for AutoLISP and VBA scripts.
ActCAD has been available in three product versions since 2016:
Professional - containing many improvements, such as additional graphics converters and DXF/DWG/DGN files, PDF import, table support, dynamic block support, 3D solid modeling, photorealistic rendering using the Artisan Renderer tool and printing to PDF files.
Standard - which in relation to the Professional version has been stripped of some third-party add-ons and does not allow editing solids. The latest version of the Standard line was ActCAD 2019 Standard replaced by the new TrueCAD 2019 Premium product.
Classic - which is based on one of the older Intellicad engines and due to the low end requirements is intended for weaker PC configurations. This is the CAD software works on computers with Windows XP. In terms of functionality, it is an intermediate product between the Standard and Professional versions.
ActCAD began introducing the Intellicad engine technology from the Intellicad 8 engine version using its subsequent versions 8.0A, 8.1B, 8.2A, and then Intellicad engine technology 8.3A, 8.4 and 8.4A, IntelliCAD 8.4B was introduced in subsequent products.
With the development of software in the latest products, ActCAD LLC has gone directly from the 8.4B version of the engine to IntelliCAD 9.1 bypassing the version of IntelliCAD 9.0.
ActCAD LLC USA on October 14, 2020 introduced the IntelliCAD 9.2 engine to ActCAD 2020 Professional.
The ActCAD 2020 Standard product based on the IntelliCAD 9.2 engine has also been reactivated.
The latest version of the IntelliCAD engine is version 9.2A released in January 2020.
On October 17, 2020, a new ActCAD 2020 BIM product was released, supporting files created in AutoCAD® Revit®.
ActCAD software currently uses OpenGL graphics acceleration technology.
It currently does not have DirectX hardware acceleration support.
