Achutha Kumar (A.D.ACHUTHAKUMAR), (born 20 August 1992) is a Drummer and Percussionist hailing from Chennai , Tamil Nadu, India. He started his career at an early age, and has performed on stage around the world. He also holds the record for completing Grade 8 Drum Kit (Western Drums) with Merit from Trinity College London. Early life A.D.ACHUTHAKUMAR born to Deenadayal and Lalitha in the year 1992 in chennai. Achuthakumar started his musical career at the age of 10. His guru percussionist S. Murali Krishnan, founder of Jus Drums. He did his schooling at M.C.TM Alwarpet <ref name = hindu/> Career A.D.ACHUTHAKUMAR first break came at the age of 10 , he was the youngest members of the band to have performed in A.R.Rahman concert along with Drums Sivamani in YMCA in 2006. He started his career in a band named the ‘Isaithulirgal’ The fusion artist has completed Grade 8 Drum Kit (Western Drums) with Merit from Trinity College London. He is one amongst the few in Asia who have successfully completed all 8 grades from the trinity college London. He plays drums and many instruments including Drums, Zildjian, Pearl, Roland, Yamaha, Boss, Korg. His specialties include instruments like The Udu, Duff, Timables, And Ulukai . He has played for A. R. Rahman in Jodha Akbar, Stephen Devassy, and Keith Peters and other musicians.<ref name = hindu/> Concerts He has performed in more than 1000 concerts across the globe. He has performed in several countries including Africa. He has a good experience in working with many instruments including the Zildjian, Pearl, Roland, Yamaha, Boss, Korg Etc. He associated with several events including the times of India concert, Indian Premier League, Rotaract-hearts, Sangarsh, Chennai Sangamam, Chennai live concert. <ref name = hindu/> Bands He is the founder of "Pranetra”, a Chennai based band started in 2012 that performs various styles in music. The band has been spotted performing at “IDHAYAM THOTTA ISAIGNANI ", a tribute show for isaignani Illayaraja telecasted by the Star Vijay television. He has also worked with various other bands including the Isaithulirgal, Staccato, Goldfish, Projecttriplet,Mystic Collusions, Brahmam, Jazz it and others. He has worked with many renowned artists including S P Balasubrahmanyam, K. S. Chithra, Drums Sivamani, and others. He has performed in several countries including Africa.<ref name = hindu/>
