Absoloot Squad

Absoloot Squad is a rap/hip-hop duo from Hater Rapids (Cedar Rapids), Iowa. The rap tag team consists of Teddy Montana and Wreck iT. Both Hater Rapids born and raised emcees attended the same elementary school in 5th grade. What started out as childhood friends is now evolving into one of the most dynamic hip-hop groups ever. They started writing rhymes in late 1998 and now have established their own website www.absolootsquadmusic.com. After gearing up studio equipment their rap hobby suddenly became a passion.

In March 2005 the Squad would release their first mixtape "From Now Until Forever Mixtape Volume 1" locally to friends, family, and random people around town. The music would eventually leak to the internet, sparking a buzz for the midwest lyricists. Absoloot came strong with their next release "$tock Exchange Mixtape Volume 2." This project had a huge success, selling out despite the fact most of it was recorded in a sub-par studio on a computer mic.

Since late 2006 the Absoloot Squad has created a huge fanbase on myspace.com/absolootsquad and has got over 3 million song plays worldwide. "Lost Tapes Mixtape Volume 3" was released on December 15th, 2007. This third mixtape release from the Absoloot Squad contains 15 industry worthy tracks. In depth wordplay, crazy lyricism, and jaw dropping punchlines can be heard from the projects beginning to end. "Lost Tapes" features almost 100% production by Hollis, New York producer Half Pynt. Chemistry of Modern Warfare Beats handles the production for "Beyond Music" - the classic song about early hip-hop inspirations growing up. The fourth piece of work from Absoloot is "Major Progress Mixtape Volume 4." This one hits on March 15th, 2008. It's available for free by download. The mixtape features 11 songs including the controversial hit "This is America". A couple other bangers on this mixtape include "Dodgin' Five O" and "Bury Me Alive."
