Abhinav Paatekar

Abhinav Paatekar (Born Abhinay Patekar, September 21, 1986) is an Indian film actor. He began his career by appearing in television commercials like "Melody chocolate", "Parker Pen Company", "Emami" and "Surf Excel" since the age of five, after which he featured in several episodic TV stories for "", "", "", "", "Ghar Jamai" with Satish Shah, R.Madhavan and Mandira Bedi (Zee TV), Saheb,Biwi aur TV(ZEE TV) and Kabhi Kabhi Mere Ghar Mein Bhuchaal Ata Hai(Star Plus). He also portrayed a prominent character of Shambhu for the TV serial Shagun(Star Plus) and 'Dinu' for Nyay (Doordarshan).
He completed his B.A. from Mithibai College of Arts and regularly participated in Dance and Drama competitions. Took dance training from Shiamak Davar's Institute for the performing Arts as well as Tarence Lewia' Dance Company. He also acted in Marathi TV serials like 'Vada Chirebandi' for Prabhat channel wherein he played a son to renowned Marathi Actor Sanjay Mone. Also, played Pradeep Velankar's son's character 'Harsh' in Satish Rajwade's Marathi series for Kinara.
His upcoming work as the protagonist includes Anshul Chauhan's international Hinglish film 'Shaamraa', wherein he plays a drug peddler. His Marathi film 'Jugaad', directed by Mayur Vaishnav and produced by Mohan Thombre under Girija Productions, releases on 12 February 2016 with Abhinav in the lead with an eminent Marathi star cast of Nagesh Bhonsle, Sunil Godbole, Siddeshwar Zadbuke, Suhas Paranjape and Vijay Chauhan. Also, has another Marathi Film 'Ticha Umbartha' releasing on 26 February 2016, directed by Pradip Ghonsikar and produced by Bollywood's veteran stunt director Ravi Dewan under his banner RDX Cinema. Next, he will be seen playing the lead in Ashok Gupta's upcoming Hindi Horror film 'Pyar Bhari Madhoshiyan' directed by Vinay Tiwari releasing soon in summer 2016.
