Abdulla Galadari

Abdulla Galadari is a contemporary polymath. He is best known for his thought provoking research in theology, religious studies, comparative religion, and Scriptural hermeneutics . His research attempts to prove that the physical world is mirroring a spiritual reality and that the physical realm symbolizes the spiritual. Some critics consider his research to be very controversial as they attempt to break the very foundations of people's understanding in their own faiths and religious practices. In all his research, he proves that all religious traditions do not contradict each other, but the followers of religions might have misunderstood their own Scriptures leading them to think that other religions are different.

Abdulla Galadari was born to a working class family. He was born in Dubai to a renowned family in the region. The Galadari family originally lived in south of Iran and migrated to Dubai in the early 20th century . In the Persian language, Galadari means shepherd.
His father is Dr. Ibrahim Galadari, a very well known dermatologist in Dubai. Abdulla pursued his education in the United States, where he was awarded in 2002 with two bachelors degrees in civil engineering and applied mathematics from the University of Colorado . As a contemporary polymath, he also received minors in astrophysics, computer science, and pure mathematics. In his graduate studies, he continued to pursue two masters in civil engineering and geographic information systems from the same university completing them in 2003. He was conferred with a doctorate degree in civil engineering in 2008 also from the University of Colorado, where his research dealt with a mathematical model for identifying the best design alternatives for road constructions, using methods of regret theory .
In 2006, he was nominated by the Government of Dubai to be a member of the first ever Electoral College for the Federal National Council in the United Arab Emirates .
Although he has always been interested in advancing the world of science and engineering, he was always fascinated with religious studies and spirituality. His research mainly deals with logical arguments through Scriptural hermeneutics emphasizing the usage of linguistics. He is currently pursuing a second doctorate degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of Aberdeen.
As a polymath, Abdulla was never satisfied with specialization, and believed that the world is in a greater need for people who were able to look at the broader picture. It is for that reason that his research also deals with economics, legal studies, business, social sciences, humanities, science, and engineering . He has extensive publications in various fields, where he attempts to have a resurgence of spirituality to an, otherwise, material world. In many of his research, he tries to enlighten people that although religion traditions have made diverse people and cultures, the same religions are all pointing to the veracity of others. Publications
Abdulla Galadari has many research publications dealing with various fields, making him one of the few contemporary academic polymaths. In one of his main research, he showed what the inner meanings of Islamic finance is. Using linguistics as a method for Qur'anic hermeneutics, he published a research paper that had a great impact on Shari'ah law of Islamic finance. In simple terms, he shows that the laws of Shari'ah of how people deal with each other are metaphors of how God deals with souls. He shows that the method of commercial transactions as laid down by the Qur'an is mirroring the commercial transaction that God deals with souls. He states that souls are loaned from God, and therefore, need to be returned. If a soul wants God to forgive its debts, then that soul must also forgive the debts of others .
He also published research on the inner meanings of property development . Through the usage of linguistics, he portrays how real estate, which is ('iqar) in Arabic, is related to the word ('aqir), which means barren. Also, the term for buildings, which is (bina') is related to the term for children (abna'). He argues that the barren can have no children, and therefore, the buildings of real estate are not real. His research attempts to show that reality is spiritual and that the real estate is in the development of the human soul making it the Temple of God, while everything in the material world are signs and symbols teaching humanity of their spiritual journey to the Truth .
As an engineer, a scientist, and a mystic, Galadari has published and presented several research on contemporary issues between science and religion. He attempts in building bridges between spirituality, humanity, and the atomic age . He believes that the debate between science and religion is farce and that both scientists and theologians are delusional when each thinks that they are better than the other, when in reality, they all seek to know the Truth and believe in what they do for the same reasons why the others believe in what they do. He thinks that a scientist must also be a theologian and a theologian must also be a scientist .
